Greg Goff Leadership Awards

The Greg Goff Leadership Award administered by the NSHSS Foundation is five USD $2,000, one-time college scholarships open to high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0. 

Greg Goff is the executive vice chairman of Marathon Petroleum Corporation. He is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and investing in energy efficient projects. Community Outreach is also a priority, as is volunteering and charitable giving. In this spirit of world betterment, Greg Goff is sponsoring college scholarships based on outstanding leadership to help encourage and recognize young leaders in their schools and communities and to help invest in their higher education. 

Scholarship funds will be sent to the university where the student enrolls and can be used for tuition, books, room and board, and other college-related expenses. The scholarship funding is for the freshman year in college and is non-renewable.

Eligibility: High school seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The application is open to students worldwide.

• Transcript
• Recommendation letter from an educator or program leader who is familiar with your leadership involvement
• Color head shot suitable for website posting
• Personal statement of 300-500 words in response to ONE of the following prompts:

A.  Who has inspired you to become a leader and in what specific ways have you demonstrated the leadership skills you have learned from your role model?

B.  What does the word "leadership" mean to you and how have you demonstrated your definition of leadership in your school and/or community?
