Sheryl explains that she gained self-confidence through volunteering. She believes that kindness must be experienced to be fully reproduced. Sheryl travels to mostly inner-city schools to spread awareness about the importance of kindness, caring, and empathy. Sheryl is the author of a digital “Kindness Book,” and she has spearheaded toy drives that have donated over 500 toys to charities. Sheryl is president of the Do Something Club, and she explains that her school’s rate of bullying has decreased by over 50%. Sheryl is also president of the Key Club, founder and president of the Model United Nations Club, and vice president of the National Honor Society. Sheryl is the cofounder and CEO of the nonprofit organization Girls Advocating Leadership & Strength (GALS).
