Ramsey has organized a weekly recycling program, a 50-mile river cleanup, and efforts to create a native plant garden. Ramsey serves as president of the Environmental Club and is working to establish an on-campus composting system. Ramsey has met with her principal and local businesses has worked with her school’s janitorial coordinator to ensure that the staff members compost food waste from both the cafeteria and cooking classes. Ramsey is a four-year member of the varsity soccer, basketball, and cross country teams, and she has served as the team captain for all three sports. Ramsey plans to study environmental engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She will graduate as the class salutatorian.
