After observing a passiveness towards the environment among the student body in her school, Nava became one of the founding members of her school’s ECO Club. She then invited Environmental Studies professors from the University of Victoria to share their research with her peers. Following the increase in students’ environmental consciousness, Nava led beach and park clean-ups. She gives presentations about Pacific salmon farms to elementary school students.
