Nathaniel wanted to engage students by creating an outdoor classroom in a school courtyard. He recruited over 35 students to assist him in rehabilitating native Michigan plants and animals. After ridding the area of weeds, Nathaniel and his student volunteers planted 17 different plant species. Nathaniel greatly values the camaraderie formed as his group worked tirelessly throughout an entire spring semester. Nathanial has been a University of Michigan Engineering intern.
