"My name is Megan Sennett, I’m 17 years old, who recently graduated from McDowell High school, Magna Cum Lauda. I have lived in Erie, Pa my entire life with both of my parents and my 3 younger sisters. While in high school, I was an Honors and AP student, a jr. volunteer at Westlake Fire Department, a cadet in McDowell’s AFJROTC program, holding the position as Corp Commander my Senior year, and I’ve been an active girl scout since I was in kindergarten, having earned my bronze, silver and gold awards. I am a third year red cross certified lifeguard at Water World in Waldameer park in Erie, Pa for the past 3 summers. I enjoy reading and drawing in my spare time. I will be attending Savannah College of Art and Design, majoring in Animation. I have a dream of working for Disney/Pixar. I am very appreciate and honored to be awarded this scholarship."
