Manuel will major in pre-med because he wishes to help and to heal. He interned at the Medical College of Wisconsin working in labs that focused in microbiology and molecular genetics. He also held an internship at Seton Hall University for the Institute for Nueroimmune Pharmacology. Through participation in the Upward Bound program, Manuel realized that he wanted to focus his life on giving back to his community. He currently gives back by tutoring middle school students, but he will one day give back to the community by helping to heal those who need it.
