Malia maintains numerous leadership roles within in her school by serving as the captain of the dance team, class secretary, and the DECA vice president. Malia enjoys ensuring that her fellow dancers engage in positive mental health practices before the stress of competitions. The DECA vice president, Malia has delivered a presentation about how DECA has inspired her to pursue a degree and career in business administration and marketing. Malia’s speech was highly effective and resulted in over 100 new DECA members. Malia is a member of the National Honor Society and has participated in class leadership during all four years of high school.
