Kiela Moreno

Kiela realized her interest in STEM fields as a 6 year old. She had become intrigued by the process of drawing blood for testing. Her mother supported her interest by purchasing her scrubs and a stethoscope. Kiela has interned at the University of Chicago, working on a biomedical engineering project. She successfully performed heart extraction surgeries on neonatal rats. Kiela has also served as a summer intern at the Center for Robust Decision Making on Climate and Energy Policy, and she is a member of the Math Team. Kiela will major in neuroscience and biomolecular engineering.
