Kayla refuses to be defined by societal labels. At age 10, she decided that her parents’ divorce would not limit her abilities or serve as justification for any shortcomings. Instead, Kayla excelled like never before. She served as president of the Health Fair, a Homecoming Queen Candidate, and an intern at the Cardiology Pediatric Office. Donna is the HOSA Historian, Aquatics Treasurer, and a member of the varsity swimming team and water polo team. She also plays the alto saxophone for the marching band, symphonic band, and jazz band. Kayla aspires to become a Pediatric Cardio Thoracic Physician and serve underprivileged patients.
