"I know that I want to help people, and I know that I want to help a lot of people-- so that’s why I believe that I can be extremely beneficent if I was ever in the position to help others by influencing policy. I worked two jobs this past summer and I work until eight p.m. almost every weeknight during the school year. College is expensive, and I also need to consider my finances since I would like to apply to law school. The NSHSS scholarship means so much to me because it is the one scholarship that embodies everything I want to accomplish in the future, and winning it would prove to me that I am following the right path-- becoming the first crucial step in my public policy and business career."
