As a first-year student at the University of Chicago, I plan to major in Biology with a Cancer Biology specialization and double minor in Data Science and Arabic. In the future, I plan to earn an MD-PhD and work as a medical oncologist. My interest is in translational science research, especially in the field of personalized cancer treatment. In my free time I enjoy baking (particularly meringues!) and reading.
I’m grateful for this opportunity. By making college affordable, the Communicorp See What’s More Scholarship will allow me to leave the mark I am determined to make and be more. To me, being more means advancing medicine by pushing the boundaries of the unknown in the cancer biology field.
