Emily received a scholarship in high school to attend the six-week Frontiers of Science Institute at the University of Northern Colorado, where her team was awarded first prize for their presentation, The Neurophysiology of Schizophrenia. She received the Implementation Award for her Operation Rain Garden for the Watershed Project and received her high school’s Excellence in Cellular/Organismal biology award.
