Anya Brante

In order to alleviate the expenses associated with high school girls’ attendance to prom, Anya became the cofounder and president of the nonprofit organization Strength in Stilettos, Inc. Anya assisted in initiating an annual Prom Dress Consignment sale at her high school. She also assisted in creating their website and securing advertisements with her local newspapers and billboard companies. Anya has also partnered with local businesses to provide items not included in donations. With the profits raised, Strength in Stilettos provides scholarships and grants for girls in academic leadership programs. Anya is a peer mentor and the president of Sources of Strength, a teen suicide prevention organization. She is a representative for Cobb Youth Leadership and a board member of the Student Government Association. Anya is also a director, actress, and singer. She was one of fifty metro-Atlanta students selected to participate in a musical theater training program at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, GA.
