Andrea is an advocate for the protection of monarch butterflies, which have become endangered due to the loss of their habitat. Andrea explains that land development, pesticides, and herbicides are direct threats to the survival of monarch butterflies. Andrea has worked with educators from preschools to junior high schools to ensure the continuation of environmental education. She has distributed more than 100 seed packets for her community to grow plants that monarch butterflies inhabit.
