"My mission is to create opportunities for minorities, especially girls, to see and engage with STEM professionals that look like them. You cannot be what you do not see. I am transforming the face of STEM by creating opportunities for minorities, especially girls, to see themselves in STEM and hopefully become engineers; me first. This scholarship will allow me to take another step toward becoming a mechanical engineer. I am interested in the smaller hands-on, experiential, project-based engineering colleges."
