What Can NSHSS Provide for You?

The National Society of High School Scholars is proud to represent a large group of hardworking students who have shown dedication and excellence throughout their years of education. The organization provides many benefits to help them prosper as they pursue their college education.

Scholarship Opportunities

NSHSS and its partners award over two million dollars in scholarships to members every year to assist them with the expense of their college education. Most scholarship applications require an essay or piece of written work, but requirements vary from scholarship to scholarship.

Access to Study Abroad

NSHSS has many opportunities for members to study abroad and is also partnered with United Planet and CET offering a wide variety of options.

Studying abroad allows students to learn and grow in a new environment within other cultures giving them the opportunity to expand their knowledge and experiences.

Network at Special Events

Members of NSHSS are also invited to attend special events which provides an opportunity to speak with college admission counselors and professionals that can help open up new opportunities for them.

In addition to the special events we also host annual NSHSS Academic tours, which allow students to visit a variety of college campuses and meet with college admissions counselors to learn about college life and applying.

Acquire Leadership Skills

Students can join our leadership programs: Ambassadors, Student Council, and Fellows.

Ambassadors

High school students who show dedication to leadership and volunteering within their community have the option to join our Ambassador program.

Student Council

Those college-age students who are interested in spreading the word about NSHSS and all we have to offer can consider joining the Student Council.

Fellows

Members who have graduated from college who want to remain connected to the organization and continue to be leaders within their communities and across the globe can join the Fellows program.

NSHSS members have the opportunity to access an abundance of resources to help them through both their academic and professional careers for life. Access to information on college readiness, scholarship application tips, networking skills, study strategies, and more helps our members succeed. Furthermore, members can also learn through fellow students, alumni, educator members, NSHSS staff, and corporate sponsors.
