In the fifth grade, Samuel won his elementary school’s “Entrepreneurship Day” competition. He won again the following year and eventually joined the Future Business Leaders of America once he entered high school. Samuel became the president of his school’s FBLA chapter and the FBLA Public Relations Director for the state of Utah. Samuel is also the international youth council president of Greening Forward, the world’s largest environmental organization run largely by youth. Samuel has had opportunities to present at conferences around the country about engaging youth in environmental initiatives. He is also the vice president of DECA, the founder and president of the Weber Symphonic Society, and a board member of his school district’s STEM Advisory Board. Samuel is the national vice president of the Young Environmentalist Network. He has also served as a student research assistant at the University of Utah. Samuel will graduate as the class valedictorian.
