Morgan Stanfill

Morgan Stanfill
  • Chula Vista, California
  • Otay Ranch High School

After visiting Europe and North Africa with her high school’s Travel Club, Morgan became enraged after learning of gender inequalities still present professional and educational spheres. Morgan returned home and cofounded her high school’s first feminist club, Genders United, which contains both young women and men who support gender equality. Genders United has worked with “She’s The First,” in support of Ugandan young women receiving secondary education. Morgan also encourages local young women and girls she tutors to raise their expectations for themselves. Morgan has volunteered at local domestic abuse shelters. She is the vice president of both the Travel Club and Genders United. Morgan is also an animal rights advocate, a surfer, and an artist with a concentration in French architecture.
