Maria will major in pre-med in college while simultaneously getting work experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Having chosen a Health Science pathway in high school, Maria has experience some of the rigor that being a doctor will require. Through her volunteer experience, she believes she would like to be a General Practitioner. She is a member of the Healthcare Occupations Students of America and Distributive Education Clubs of America. She is a first generation college student.
