Erinn explains that bullying among young girls has become commonplace in many schools. In response to the increasing rate of bullying of among teenage girls, Erinn wrote a self-help book, Re-Writing Your Story, for young girls. Erinn explains that “industry reports show that girls see a significant drop in self-esteem around age 9-11 that’s both deeper and longer-lasting than that of boys.” Erinn created a year-long timeline and networked with over 1,000 individuals and organizations to raise $5,000 to publish her book. She taught herself design software to create her book layout, and she has printed and distributed free copies to 700 sixth grade girls in her school district. Erinn has also created a free e-book that has been made available to young girls worldwide. Erinn received the Girl Scouts Gold Award, and she has been named an Optimist Teenager of the Month. Erinn was also named a “Woman to Watch” by West Chester & Liberty Lifestyle magazine.
