Brittany has always been intrigued by the immense capabilities of the human brain, but her interest peaked after members of her family were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. She has visited Franklin Institute’s Your Brain Exhibition. During her participation in MIT Online Science, Technology and Engineering Community (MOSTEC), Brittany comprised an article about “the internet’s effect upon brain neuroplasticity and intelligence.” She is an intern for AI duPont Children’s Hospital, and she has interned for the University of Delaware’s Department of Animal and Food Sciences. Brittany is a tutor, a member of the Class Board, founder of Dr. Miami Club, which provides students with job shadowing and volunteer opportunities, and she is the vice president of the Science National Honor Society. Brittany will major in human biology.
